Antibiotics, stomach bugs, and a shameless plug

If your child gets a stomach bug, they probably won’t be offered antibiotics straight away. Often they aren’t needed, and in the case of E. coli O157, it can be really dangerous. Giving antibiotics to a child under 5 who has E. coli O157, can increase the chance of them developing life threatening complications!
