Another brief post this evening.
The Food Standards Agency has opened a consultation into Salmonella in eggs, including what to advise pregnant women. It’s likely the advice will change so that lion-stamped eggs are fine. They are still undecided about whether to say all eggs are fine (I would say no to this, personally, the “experts” were undecided). The consultation ends in May, so advice is likely to change some time after that. In the meantime, pregnant women can check out my take on the issues (written before this research came out may I add), or look at the NHS page of course!
